Some more recent stuff

I haven't posted up any of the fun stuff I've been working on lately, so here's a few of the drawings I've been doing for the Inuit Mythology Project. The first set I did for them was colored pencil drawings. I've since done about 80 ink drawings for them. These are some of my favorites...

I love this job because it stretches me to draw things I wouldn't have otherwise tried drawing, and I also get to expolore my digital inking techniques. These are all digitally inked, except for the one pencil drawing I included, which I scanned in from a sketch book. The final is digitally inked, but i really liked the look of it in pencil.

Man, these are wicked-awesome! The dude with the scythe-hands hanging down? Seriously nightmarish.

can you include the blurbs for these guys? what they do and so forth?

sure... the first one is sort of an Inuit woman mermaid, but she has more of a sea-serpent's body. The patterns on her arms are traditional female Inuit tattoos.

The second is a hook spirit. I didn't get much more info than it's a skeletal spirit with hooks for hands who has no pelvis or legs, and floats around bein' all creepy.

The third is a Sculpin Dragon, which is a sea-serprent but based on the deep sea creepy fish you see pictures of, that live down where there is absolutely no light.

The fourth is just a huge giant who is supposed to look like he just woke up.

The last one is called a Tupilak, and it is this strange little being a man fashions by putting bones and trash and wood together. When it comes to life he sends it to kill somebody.

What are you using to ink these? On another post you mentioned using Manga Studio to do the Chumble Spuzz pages, but do you use anything different (Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Paint.NET, etc.) and a computer tablet?

I inked these al digitally with Manga Studio as well.

The second one is impressive. I really liked it, have you ever considered to draw a cover for a Metal band. Your art would be great in that grim look for an album cover.

This is a smart blog. I mean it. You have so much knowledge about this issue, and so much passion. You also know how to make people rally behind it, obviously from the responses. Youve got a design here thats not too flashy, but makes a statement as big as what youre saying. Great job, indeed. Agen Bola Ibcbet Sbobet Sbobet Casino Bola Tangkas Agen Bola Ibcbet
